The Gospel & Racial Reconciliation

In the last few weeks there has been much said about race relations in our country. I recently preached a sermon entitled, “The Gospel & Racial Reconciliation.”

Some highlights are:

Biblical Principle #1 on Race – God Made All Ethnic Groups From One Ancestor (Acts 17:26)

Biblical Principle #2 on Race – Every Individual From Every Ethnic Group Are Made in God’s Image (Genesis 1:27)

Biblical Principle #3 on Race – God Plans Redemption For Every Ethnic Group (Genesis 12; Galatians 3:14)

Gospel Implication #1 – The Racial Wall of Hostility is Destroyed through the Gospel (Ephesians 2:11-22)

Gospel Implication #2 – The Saints in Heaven Represent Every Ethnicity (Revelation 5:9-10)

Gospel Implication #3 – The Saints in Heaven From Every Nation Are United in One Voice (Revelation 7:9-10)

Gospel Implication #4 – Do Justice. Love Mercy. Walk Humbly. (Matthew 23:23; Micah 6:8)

Steps Forward in Racial Reconciliation…

#1- Learn to Listen

#2- Pray (Fast & Pray, Pray for Police, Pray for the Church to Lead, Pray For Multi-Ethnic Churches and Leadership, & Pray for God’s Glory to proclaimed)

#3- View this as a Gospel Issue…A Discipleship Issue.
